Navigator Overview

All tasks available to Web Central, Smart Client, and Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD users are grouped into self-contained functional groups known as applications.

Each application or module is created to meet requirements of a specific group of users for a specific domain area. The Navigator enables users to select tasks by drilling down from the Application (module) and Process levels.

For the currently logged-on user, the Navigator displays tasks appropriate to this user's role in the organization. The Navigator can and should be individually configured to only display tasks that are relevant to each user. Administrators can configure the Navigator by assigning specific applications, processes, and tasks to specific users or user roles.
